中國香港男子七人欖球代表隊教練高勳（Jevon Groves）表示：“中國香港男子七人欖球代表隊經歷了成功的2022年，在地區性比賽中不斷取得傑出成績。最近，球隊在亞洲七人制欖球系列赛中襄括三站金牌, 以及獲得2022年七人欖球世界盃的参赛資格。球隊亦於剛舉行的「國泰/滙豐香港國際七人欖球賽」中，在香港大球場數萬名球迷面前展示了一場精彩的表演。”

[16 February 2023, Hong Kong]: Cathay 2022 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards (HKSSA) is now open for public voting. The Hong Kong, China Men’s Rugby Sevens Team is nominated in the Cathay 2022 Hong Kong Stars Award for Team Only Sport category. Please support the team and cast your vote!
Jevon Groves, Head Coach of Hong Kong, China Men’s Sevens remarked, “The Hong Kong, China Men’s Rugby Sevens Team had a great year in 2022, achieving consistent standout performances in regional tournaments. Most recently, the team secured a gold medal and Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 qualification at the Asia Rugby Sevens Series, and put on a great show in front of tens of thousands of fans at Hong Kong Stadium for the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.
