Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens confirms to be held in November 「國泰航空/滙豐香港國際七人欖球賽」落實11月舉行

[Hong Kong, 30 July 2022] : The Hong Kong Rugby Union is pleased to confirm that Government approval has been received to proceed with the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens scheduled for 4-6 November 2022.

We will continue to consult with the government and the event will be delivered in compliance with the prevailing Covid measures in place at the time.

“After 3 ½ years without a Sevens I am confident this will be a very special event, albeit there lies plenty of hard work ahead for our dedicated events team. I would like to thank the Government, our sponsors, and World Rugby for their support, and I am delighted to be able to once again say to the world… ‘See You at the Sevens!’” said HKRU Chairman Patrick Donovan.

With just over three months to go to the tournament, the HKRU will be liaising with all stakeholders starting from next week and will announce further event details about the event, including ticketing information, imminently.

「國泰航空/滙豐香港國際七人欖球賽」落實11月舉行

[2022年7月30日，香港] : 香港欖球總會（欖總）很高興獲得政府批准，確定能夠繼續舉辦定於2022年11月4日至6日的「國泰航空/滙豐香港國際七人欖球賽」。

欖總將繼續與政府磋商，賽事將依照適時的防疫抗疫措施進行。

欖總主席唐諾生（Patrick Donovan）表示：「香港國際七人欖球賽已停辦了三年半，即使欖總的賽事團隊在前期需要面對很多艱辛的工作，我有信心這將是一場非常特別的賽事。感謝政府、贊助商和國際欖球理事會（World Rugby）的支持，我很高興能夠再次與全球的球迷於香港國際七人欖球賽中相見！」

距離賽事舉行只有三個多月的時間，欖總將從下星期開始與所有持份者聯絡，並會儘快公佈更多賽事相關的細節，包括票務資訊。
