Standard Chartered Priority Private Takes Centre Stage as Title Sponsor for the 2024 HKFC Soccer Sevens

HONG KONG, 6 March 2024 – The Hong Kong Football Club is pleased to announce Standard Chartered Priority Private as the new title sponsor of the HKFC Standard Chartered Soccer Sevens.

This prestigious partnership heralds a new chapter for the event, which is set to celebrate its 25th year and will further captivate fans at the Hong Kong Football Club from 24 to 26 May 2024 with the addition of a Women’s Tournament for the first time.

The HKFC Soccer Sevens has been a highlight on the Hong Kong football calendar since its inception in 1999 and the 2024 edition promises to deliver unparalleled excitement and competition.

Twenty-six teams will be split between the Main Event and the Masters Tournament while an eight team Women’s Tournament will also be introduced.

With 16 teams vying for the title in the Main Event, including 10 overseas-based clubs making the journey to Hong Kong, this year’s competition is poised to be among the most fiercely contested yet.

The roll call of past participants in the HKFC Soccer Sevens is a who’s who of world football, with Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Urawa Red Diamonds among the former winners.

English Premier League outfit Aston Villa are the tournament’s most successful club, winning a record seventh HKFC Soccer Sevens title in 2023 with victory over Hong Kong’s Tai Po FC in the final at Sports Road.
