「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」圓滿落幕焦點活動「保誠網球慈善挑戰賽」為本地輪椅網球運動贊助二十萬

（2023年10月31日，香港）闊別香港五年的年度國際體壇盛事——「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」於10月15日假維多利亞公園網球主場拉下帷幕。作為賽事焦點活動之一的「保誠網球慈善挑戰賽」獲本地體育界、娛樂界及工商界的嘉賓鼎力支持，雖然最終因颱風小犬而未能如期舉行，保誠保險有限公司仍慷慨解囊，贊助二十萬港元予香港網總協會，全力支持香港輪椅網球發展。

「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」單打決賽由現時世界排名世界排名第60位的費蘭迪絲（Leylah Fernandez）碰上世界排名第85位的仙妮雅高娃（Katerina Siniakova），在經歷2小時49分鐘的激烈對戰後，費蘭迪絲以3-6，6-4，6-4取勝，成功載入「保誠香港網球公開賽」冠軍史冊。

「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」雙打決賽則由中國球手湯千慧夥拍中華台北球手曹家宜迎戰雙打三號種子嘉拉舒妮高娃和莎絲洛域治。雙方戰至第三盤決勝局，嘉拉舒妮高娃和莎絲洛域治在自己的發球局尾段不慎失誤，讓湯千慧和曹家宜於9-6落後的情況下連取5分，以7-5，1-6 [11-9]驚險取勝。

「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」的資格賽及首日正賽一度受颱風小犬下的惡劣天氣影響，幸而10月10日及之後，天氣漸趨穩定，球迷及市民紛紛入場支持賽事，準決賽及決賽日（10月14日及15日）更接近全場爆滿，反映賽事深受本地及海外旅客歡迎。

「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」之「網球同樂區」更於10月10日至15日免費開放予公眾入場，為球迷及市民提供結合體育、藝術、娛樂元素的網球體驗。一家大小來到同樂區及其中的「保誠專區」，體驗適合任何年齡人士的網球小挑戰，透過互動遊戲形式執起球拍，啟動積極健康的生活模式。

(31 October 2023, Hong Kong) After a break of five years, one of Hong Kong’s major international sports events, the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open (“PHKTO”) 2023 was successfully concluded on 15 October at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium. One of the event’s activity highlights, the Prudential Charity Tennis Challenge was supported by guests of honour from the local sports scene, entertainment world, business and commerce fields. Although the activity was cancelled due to the adverse weather under Typhoon Koinu, Prudential Hong Kong Limited sponsored HKD $200,000 for the HKTA Foundation to support the development of wheelchair tennis in Hong Kong.

World No. 60 Leylah Fernandez and World No.85 Katerina Siniakova gave it their all in the PHKTO 2023 singles final over a highly competitive and thrilling 2 hours 49 minutes, with Fernandez finally prevailing over a valiant Katerina Siniakova to win a final for the ages 3-6 6-4 6-4.

China’s Tang Qianhui and Chinese Taipei’s Chia Yi Tsao defeated No.3 seeds Oksana Kalashnikova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich to claim the PHKTO 2023 doubles title, their first as a team.

The qualifying and first day of main draw of PHKTO 2023 were affected by inclement weather as a result of Typhoon Koinu, but proceeded smoothly after play resumed on Tuesday, 10th October. The tournament attracted both local and overseas visitors, with near full attendance on its final two days (14 & 15 Oct).

The PHKTO Tournament Village offered a sports, arts & entertainment experience to all with free entry to the public from 10 - 15 October. Families and friends enjoyed a variety of tennis themed activities suitable for all ages, and were encouraged to start a positive and healthy lifestyle through the various tennis games at the Tournament Village and also the Prudential Booth.
