「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」驚喜彩蛋：歌神陳奕迅夥拍本地輪椅網球手 周三亮相「星級名人賽」

（2023年10月10日，香港）中國香港網球總會（「網總」）是日宣佈中國香港網球總會推廣大使陳奕迅（Eason）將聯同WTA球星、本地輪椅網球手莫家安（安仔）及劉冠東（阿東），於明日（10月11日）假維多利亞公園網球場呈獻「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」之「星級名人賽」。作為「保誠香港網球公開賽2023」的亮點活動，「星級名人賽」將於明日晚上6時30分（正賽前）在網球主場進行，購買了10月11日（星期三）門票的觀眾均可入場現場欣賞這場難得一遇的表演賽。
於「星級名人賽」上，球迷可率先觀看Eason和WTA球星的單打對決；隨後Eason將搭檔本地輪椅網球手安仔，硬撼WTA球星及阿東。2018年，Eason曾於「星級名人賽」與李娜對陣，相信今屆表演賽將是同等精彩，成為集競技、音樂、歡樂於一身的難忘比賽。
值得提及的是，輪椅球手安仔將代表香港出戰10月22日至28日假中國杭州舉行的第四屆亞洲殘疾人運動會。是次「星級名人賽」有助推廣輪椅網球運動予球迷及市民，觀眾更可於現場為積極備戰殘亞的安仔打氣。
中國香港網球總會會長莫君逸先生表示：「我們很高興宣佈，中國香港網球總會推廣大使陳奕迅將再度參與『保誠香港網球公開賽』之『星級名人賽』。Eason是深受市民喜愛的歌手，相信球迷都急不及待觀賞他和WTA職業球手，以及本地輪椅網球手莫家安和劉冠東的精彩對戰。網總致力於社區普及網球運動，更以能夠透過『星級名人賽』支持本地輪椅網球發展為豪，為輪椅網球手提供一個國際舞台，讓球迷及市民均可認識和了解這項意義非凡的運動。」

10月9日至15日期間，「網球同樂區」將免費開放予市民入場，公眾可在同樂區體驗不同主題活動。今屆「網球同樂區」同樣座落於維多利亞公園網球場，以「綻放網球力量」為主題，設有多元化的互動環節，包括：有專業網球教練於合家歡迷你網球場即場示範及指導、有大受歡迎的發球速度挑戰、有適合任何年齡人士體驗的網球遊戲。球迷亦可於「保誠專區」的簽名區與心水球星見面，與她們近距離接觸及在場內購買「保誠網球公開賽2023」限定紀念品。「網球同樂區」還設置大型螢幕直播賽事，市民及遊客可一邊享受美味小食，一邊觀賞世界級女子網球大賽，一同投入網球狂熱。

(10 October 2023, HONG KONG) Hong Kong, China Tennis Association (“HKCTA”) unveiled the exciting news today that HKCTA Ambassador Eason Chan will join a WTA star and local wheelchair players Ma Ka On and Lau Koon Tung for an entertainment-packed celebrity exhibition match at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium on Wednesday 11th October. Part of Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open’s (“PHKTO”) 2023 week-long series of entertainment activities, the match will take place prior to the evening’s main draw matches at 6:30pm on Centre Court and can be watched by all Wednesday 11 October ticket holders.
Fans will be able to watch Eason first hit with the WTA player to music before pairing with Ma Ka On (‘On Chai’) to take on the WTA player and Lau Koon Tung in a friendly short-format exhibition match. Those present for Eason’s celebrity exhibition match with Li Na at PHKTO 2018 will remember an entertaining match full of music, laughter and unexpected moments.
The exhibition match aims to raise awareness for wheelchair tennis in Hong Kong, ahead of On Chai’s participation in the upcoming 2022 Para Asian Games. He will represent Hong Kong at the Games from 22-28 October in Hangzhou.
HKCTA President Philip Mok said: “We are thrilled to welcome our HKCTA ambassador Eason back for another fun-filled exhibition match. Eason is beloved in Hong Kong and fans will be keen to see him play against a WTA pro as well as our local wheelchair tennis stars. We are proud to champion wheelchair tennis and give it the public platform that its players deserve, sharing this captivating sport with a broader audience.”

Members of the public can also enjoy free entry to the PHKTO Tournament Village throughout the event week from 9-15 October. Embracing the theme of “Celebrating Greatness,” visitors can enjoy a variety of tennis themed activities including a mini-tennis court with coaching clinics and demonstrations, a serve speed booth and tennis game booths suitable for all ages. Fans will also be able to meet their favourite players at autograph sessions at the Prudential Booth, purchase limited edition PHKTO merchandise and enjoy refreshments whilst catching a live broadcast of the matches on the giant video screen.
