EUROPE’S TOP FOOTBALL CLUBS GEAR UP FOR THE SINGAPORE FESTIVAL OF FOOTBALL

SINGAPORE, 14 JULY 2025 – Fresh from their summer break, Europe’s biggest football stars are back in training and gearing up for the new season with intensive preparations alongside a refreshed squad. New signings and familiar faces from English and Italian clubs Arsenal FC, Newcastle United and AC Milan have returned to their respective home grounds in Europe and will greet fans at the upcoming Singapore Festival of Football (SFOF).Returning after a two-year hiatus, this year’s SFOF will feature three new teams and two mouthwatering clashes at the National Stadium. Arsenal FC will first take on Italian giants AC Milan on 23 July, before facing fellow English club Newcastle United on 27 July. Both matches kick off at 7.30pm Singapore time and are set to be thrilling preparatory matches for the clubs ahead of the new football season.


Arsenal FC will also hold an Open Training Session on 25 July at the National Stadium for their fans to get another opportunity to interact with their favourite players. Tickets for each match are priced from $108 while general admission tickets for the Open Training Session are priced at $32. All tickets are available on Ticketek Singapore.


Legends from each club will also add to the star power as they make an appearance in Singapore this month, connecting with the local football community and engaging with fans in the region. Arsenal FC’s Gilberto Silva and Bacary Sagna, Newcastle United’s Shay Given and Shola Ameobi as well as Serginho and Alexandre Pato of AC Milan will take part in their clubs’ activities in Singapore, including food drives for the underprivileged, meet and greets, and football clinics for local children.The Gunners will conduct a Football Development programme in Singapore where budding footballers from Singapore, Hong Kong and China will get the rare opportunity to learn from the best. The four-day clinic will see 60-90 participants daily with appearances by legends and players, while participants will also receive access to Arsenal FC’s Open Training Session on 25 July and their match against AC Milan.AC Milan fans, who will be seeing their club play in Singapore for the first time, are in for a treat as a group of first-team players will also be meeting fans in a special PUMA event in the afternoon of 22 July at the Weston Corp Store (level 4) in 313@Somerset.An exciting and eventful day awaits on 23 July when Arsenal FC take on AC Milan with digital and technological services provider Trident Digital Tech Holdings Ltd. The jersey reimagines a timeless classic: a clean white base - a staple of AC Milan’s Away kits - elevated by dynamic red and black accents. This new design pairs heritage with innovation, featuring one of the Rossoneri’s most iconic symbols: the Diavoletto. Donned in their snazzy new kits, Arsenal FC and AC Milan are sure to put on an enthralling match at the National Stadium as they vie for the Tridentity Cup.Additionally, AC Milan fans in Singapore will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive experiences that offer deeper immersion into the Rossoneri world - including private meals with Club legends, behind-the-scenes access, and unforgettable moments with the team. Arsenal FC are playing in Singapore for the first time since 2018, while Newcastle United will be making their highly-anticipated return to Singapore in almost 30 years with much to celebrate after winning the Carabao Cup in March. AC Milan fans are also in for a treat as this will be the first time their club plays live in Singapore.
